It's that special time of year again, when we start to get together with all the crazy...I mean special people in our lives. We just love them so much don’t we?! The friend or family member we haven’t seen in a while that actually has no clue whats going on in our lives but loves to give this wealth of knowledge to us on how we can “fix” ourselves even though we are not broken. Or copious amounts of judgement thrown our way if we are not living up to their standards. The same people that don’t want you to know what is behind their curtains thats for sure.
I could go on and on and we all experience some sort of holiday stress and madness from time to time….so some things to remember… and please try to do them gracefully….
✨ Say NO. If it doesn't fit with your vibe..it's a NO.
✨ It’s not ok for someone to unload all of their stressors and problems on to you 24/7. Ditch the text or phone call.
✨Your time is important! Just as much as ANYONE ELSES. Respond when you can. Do not let anyone make you feel guilty about it.
✨Take deep breaths.
✨Set and stick to your own limits and boundaries
✨Steer clear of draining gossip and drama.
✨Keep your space peaceful and positive.
✨Identify the energy vampires and stay away from them.
✨Time alone is good and necessary to clear your mind.
✨Unreasonable expectations need to be thrown in the garbage. No time for that.
✨Your mental health is much more important that any holiday gift or event. Drink wine. Deep breaths. You got this! ✨
