We all know that feeling of when we are driving and see the detour sign. I’m sure many of you like me think….not today…why me…now I am going to be late. However, I have found that the detour will put you in the right place at the right time.
This does not have to be negative. Sometimes you find out an entire new way to get to your destination. This could take you to a new place. Sometimes it can even turn out to be a shortcut you were not aware of.
But the detours I am really talking about are the ones that can sometimes take us on an unexpected journey throughout life.
So there you are cruising along in your life and just when you thought it starts to be an open road the universe throws the detours. It reroutes you. It gets uncomfortable.
IT’S THE REDIRECT.
Now we feel delayed and frustrated…why the wait?
Well….the universe needs to know if you are ready for the next step. It needs to see and feel that you have done all the inner and outer work that is necessary. Are you prepared? Did you build a solid foundation?. How did you build it? With integrity?
When the universe decides you are completely aligned, thats when it will be an open road ahead.

We must trust everything that is happening in the moment is meant to be and ultimately will serve a purpose. Especially if we can not see it at the time.
Some detours are not always great. But you may realize afterwards you might have picked up a few insights or tricks in the meantime from it.
Being redirected forces us to look at what is working and what is not. Where can you do better? What direction do you really want to go in? Who do you want to go with?
Of course be vigilant of people you meet during this time. Who will go through this redirect with you? Who will abandon you during this unpredictable time… yet show up in the end when things are better. And who ….may not have your best interest.
If you are feeling overwhelmed because everything fell apart and you are now taking what feels like unfamiliar scenic route to a new path…just know that the energy was stagnate on the path you were on. NOTHING new could enter with old energy. All of it had to go!
It may have felt unpleasant. However, when you level up you cannot stay in that same space.
Sometimes God has to step in and do a clean sweep to bring you a life that meets the person you have become. With a new life and new energy, you can bring what you need to into the world in a much more positive way at a much higher level. There is no way it could have been done with low vibrations of people, places, or things.
